Biography |
Michael Gimbel, MD, joined the UPMC Division of Plastic Surgery in August 2006 as an Assistant Professor of Surgery. He finished his General Surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh in 2003, and his Plastic Surgery residency at UCLA in 2005. He then completed the UCLA Microvascular Surgery fellowship in 2006.
His clinical interests include all aspects of Microsurgery including facial reanimation and the latest techniques in breast reconstruction. In addition, he has interest in Aesthetic Surgery and General Plastic Surgery. His research interests focus on outcomes studies in breast reconstruction and basic science investigations of novel flap surgery techniques.
